Objectives
The participant:
- Can independently use the BMW flash tool chain in development (SWE generator and E-SYS) and the associated data formats (MSR, BSW, PDX).
- Has a basic understanding of the overall BMW process for ECU software creation and programming (flashing and coding).
Content
- Project objectives for the introduction of a new flash tool chain in 2006.
- Basics of logistics in the development process for controllers.
- Process for creating software units for controllers in the BSW format with the SWE-Generator.
- Architecture and operation of the BMW standard flash tool E-SYS.
- Content and creation of PDX containers for transfer to the software logistics process.
- Demonstration of the standard processes in the tools SWE-Generator and E-SYS.
- Practical part: Exercises on the SWE-Generator and E-SYS.
Target Group
- Partners in the E/E process chain who work in the field of development, creation, maintenance and logistics of ECU software.
Good to Know
Personal Prerequisites:
- Knowledge about the BMW requirements specifications regarding vehicle programming from L6 onwards as well as the diagnostics requirement specifications and diagnosis logs would be an advantage.
- A basic understanding of the BMW E/E development process is required.
Technical Prerequisites:
- Participants must bring a laptop for the practical part of the training on the SWE-Generator and E-SYS tools: Any computer with Windows 10 (64/32 bit) can be used.
- A B2B connection/access is not necessary but useful.
