Objectives

The participant:

• Will know the objectives and background of CAD PDM.
• Can operate the functions of CAD PDM and carry out the essential design processes of their specialist department as well as publish and check the design data in the public vehicle trees.

• Introduction to the CAD PDM process.
• Introduction and overview of WebDesktop.
• Virtual cars in PRISMA.
• Building work structures in WebDesktop and CATIA.
• Administration of work structures.
• Interface between SAP IPPE and PRISMA.
• Adding reference components from SAP or PRISMA.
• Requirements for publication.
• E-fact sheet for data ramp-up.
• Publication of components in the product structures.
• Explanation of the module quantity structure (SAP).
• Official vehicle filter (virtual cars in SAP).
• Analysis and correction of publications.
• Explanation of maturity management and the release process.
• Presentation of visualization tools (PDM Vis, TC Vis).

Target Group

• Partner, who commission such systems.

Good to Know

• Excellent knowledge of PRISMA and PSN structures. Recommendation Prisma Parts and Vehicle Structures (BIS_01_03580).
• Basic skills in working with CATIA.
• For the  training, a PRISMA user with the approval for the respective vehicle project is required. Furthermore, access to the partner portal (B2B) and MyWorkplace is required.
• The access to the B2B portal and PDM WebDesktop is commissioned via the master administrator of the respective company.
• Project rights in PRISMA can be commissioned via the internal contact person or directly via PRISMA. You will not get these roles at the Partner Academy!
