Objectives
The participant:
- Knows the basics about hydrogen as an energy carrier and possible sources of danger in dealing with gases.
- Gets an overview of appropriate protective measures and the principles of occupational safety in the handling of gases in order to carry out general activities on the hydrogen vehicle/test bench in a safe and sustainable manner (without creating safety risks for themselves and others).
Content
- Contents of the training.
- Properties of hydrogen and comparison with other fuels.
- Hazard sources when handling hydrogen.
- Basics of explosion protection.
- Gas systems and tank filling process.
- Occupational safety.
Target Group
- Partner who perform general activities (but not on the H2 system) on hydrogen vehicles or test benches.
Good to know
This training is a prerequisite for:
- H2 Level 4: Safe Handling of Hydrogen - Expert Training for Responsible Personnel Working on the H2 System (BIS_01_08330).
- H2 level 3: Safe Handling of Hydrogen - Advanced Training for Defined H2 Activities (BIS_01_10857).
Prerequisites
- To be eligible to participate in this course, you must have completed the following course. This will give you the driver entry of IFA.
- WBT - H2 level 1: Handling Hydrogen Safely: Driving and Operating (ITEM_44061) (currently not available).
