Objectives

The participant:

• Masters the handling of the editor in order to be able to prepare the SAS file sufficiently for the software departure.
• Knows how to master the SAS regulations, which are required for an error-free EPLAN.
• Understands the functionality of SAS in order to be able to make qualified statements in the event of an error.

• SAS basic qualification.
• Overall view and basic knowledge of SAS and its functions Processes and responsibilities.
• Handling with the SAS file.
• What has to be done for a valid SAS-file?
• How can I import/export files from SAS to Eplan and from Eplan to SAS?
• IP addresses.
• Part numbers.
• I/O variables.
• Designations/names.
• Plant structures.
• Function texts.
• Robot applications.

Target Group

• Employees who maintain, plan or commission systems.

Prerequisites

• Technical prerequisites: Participants need their own laptop with own EPLAN-license:
  • EPLAN P8 2023.
  • Current SAS (SmartAutomatisationSuite) release.
  • Yubikey (ATTENTION: information about ordering YubiKeys can be found in the training documents!).
• Required project documents for the participation in the online training can be found after enroling into the course.
• IMPORTANT: It is absolutely necessary to familiarize yourself with the training documents before the training to ensure successful participation.
• Please send your QX-number for validation to support@bmw-partner.academy. Without a QX-number a participation in this course is not possible. The QX-number can be requested with the corresponding BMW planner.
