Objectives
The participant:
- Is introduced into BMW's new quality system, iPQ (Integrated Parts Quality) and successor of the RMT (Risk Management Parts) system.
- Gets an overview of the collaborative quality work between BMW and suppliers from the nomination phase to the series phase in iPQ.
- Gains a common understanding of this system, which is of great importance for successful and cooperative cooperation in vehicle and engine projects.
Content
- The iPQ supplier trainings introduce the IT-system-based quality management work in iPQ.
- The focus is on selected modules of the nomination, industrialization, and series production phase.
- The following topics are trained in each session:
- Basic knowledge.
- Q-Offer documents, Production Process Plan (PPP), Industrialization Schedule (ITP), Quality in the Construction Phases (QBP).
- Process Series (PCS), Initial Sample Inspection Report (MUP), Requalification (REQ).
- Q&A session: Your questions – our answers regarding iPQ.
- Within the individual modules in iPQ (for example PCS) an overview of the related processes and respective roles will be provided.
- Establishing a consistent understanding of the collaborative work in iPQ.
- After a theoretic introduction, the process is demonstrated live in the training environment of iPQ and explained with realistic examples by the trainer. Your questions will be answered.
In this way the participants get an overview of the functionality of these modules and the related tasks.

Good to Know
Technical information:- As this training is an IT-system training, please understand that the possibility to discuss individual topics within the training session is restricted. Use the Q&A session for your upcoming questions regarding iPQ.
- This is an online training with the software MS Teams. You do not need to have MS Teams installed to attend the training. You will receive a link in advance and can use the web app (As a browser we recommend Google Chrome).

- When booking the training, three appointments (3.5 hours) are booked, each for basic training and the two advanced training courses. Book the Q&A session for questions about iPQ that arise in your daily work.
