GSC - Programming and Commissioning

Objectives

The participant:

  • Has mastered the structure of the GSC software structure and can implement this when programming a standard project.
  • Is able to create their basic PLC program for the GSC using the “SmartAutomationSuite” software.
  • Is familiar with the standard-compliant design of an automation system and can program it in accordance with standards.
  • Masters the connection in a standard project - between the SPS program, SivArc and visualization and can apply it in accordance with standards.

Content

  • Structure of the software structure of the GSC standard (history, components, concept). Built as a standard production cell using a virtual training cell. Integration hardware (manual).
  • GSC software structure (program structure, operating modes).
  • Integration of a panel & presentation of the HMI.
  • SivArc insight.
  • Reporting system (user login).
  • HMI — user detail images.
  • HMI button.
  • Create user module with HMI object.
  • Safety (Emergency Stop, Gate, Misc).
  • Introduction to SAS.
  • Interaction between EPLAN and SAS.
  • Interaction between TIA and SAS.
  • TIA component removal.
  • SOV + LineSim.
  • Type management.
  • Control devices.
  • Phase model.
  • Fault processing.
  • Safety programming.
  • Standard libraries.
  • Robotics.
  • With the help of a geosimulated virtual training cell with component tracking, an environment is simulated, so that practical training can be carried out.

Good to know

Training Implementation:
  • Week 1 (Mon-Fri): Online via MsTeams (including technical check).
  • Week 2 (Mon-Fri): in presence.

Please consider that one company can only book a maximum of 4 seats per trainings session!

Note concerning interpreters:

  • Due to the limited space available, it is strictly forbidden to bring interpreters to the event unannounced.
  • Please only book events for which you speak the course language. Unregistered interpreters who have not been authorized in advance will not be granted access.

Booking prerequisite:

To be eligible to enrol into this course, you must have completed the following course:

Technical prerequisites:
  • A Yubikey is required during training. This may have to be procured independently!
  • You can order Yubikeys here.

Please consider the technical prerequisites before the participation in the training. Required project documents can be found in your personal space after enroling into the course.

Professional prerequisites: 
  • Several years of experience in plant commissioning with TIA portal.
  • Proof of  SIMATIC WinCC Unified BMW OEM training with Siemens  or alternative provider or proof of otherwise experienced know-how about WinCC Unified (please have your certificates at hand for the training).
  • Please send your certificate to support@bmw-partner.academy when enroling into this course.
Please send your QX-number for validation to support@bmw-partner.academy. Without QX-number the participation in this training is not possible. The QX-number can be requested with the corresponding BMW planner.
