Objectives

The participant:

• Has mastered the structure of the GSC software structure and can implement this when programming a standard project. In doing so, he can use his certified previous knowledge and previous knowledge from the TKB V8.x standard in a goal-oriented manner.
• Is able to create his basic PLC program for the TKB using the “SmartAutomationSuite” software.
• Is familiar with the standard-compliant design of an automation system and can program it in accordance with standards.
• Masters the connection in a standard project - between the SPS program, SivArc and the visualization and can apply it in accordance with standards.

Content

• Structure of the software structure of the GSC standard (history, components, concept). Built as a standard production cell using the virtual training cell.
• GSC software structure (program structure, operating modes).
• Integration of a panel & presentation of the HMI.
• Insight into SivArc in WinCC Unified.
• Reporting system (user login).
• HMI — detailed user images in WinCC Unified.
• What's new in type management.
• What's new in safety programming.
• What's new in fault processing.
• New features of control devices.
• With the help of a geosimulated virtual training cell with component tracking, an environment is simulated, so that practical training can be carried out in a GSC environment.

Please consider that one company can only book 4 seats per training session!
Note concerning interpreters:

• Due to the limited space available, it is strictly forbidden to bring interpreters to the event unannounced.
• Please only book events for which you speak the course language. Unregistered interpreters who have not been authorized in advance will not be granted access.

Prerequisites

Booking prerequisite:

To be eligible to enrol into this course, you must have completed the following courses: 

• WBT - Basic SAS and SOV Control Technology (ITEM_53024).
• TKB Standard Software V8.x Programming and Commissioning (BIS_20_10069).

Technical prerequisites:

• A Yubikey is required during training. This may have to be procured independently!
• You can order Yubikeys here.

Professional prerequisites:

• Several years of experience in plant commissioning with TIA portal. 
• Proof of  SIMATIC WinCC Unified knowledge. We recommend one of the two courses offered by Siemens. If this knowledge was acquired from alternative providers or through project experience, please have the relevant proof ready. These will be checked by us before acceptance.

Please send your QX-number for validation to support@bmw-partner.academy. Without QX-number a participation in this course is not possible. The QX-number can be requested with the corresponding BMW planner.
