Objectives
The Participant:
- Understands how an application can be deployed on AWS in accordance with BMW standards.
- Gets to know the necessary components and builds an understanding of how they work together.
- Gets an introduction to cloud reference architectures and reference solution building blocks for AWS as well as “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC).
Content
- BMW Reference Architectures for AWS.
- Reference Solution Building Blocks for AWS.
- Introduction to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tooling.
- In-depth demonstration of deploying a container-based application in AWS and discussion of required configurations.
- BMW specific configurations.
- Steps towards operating an application in AWS.
Target Group
- This course is for partners who have a fundamental understanding of the Cloud and want to get further knowledge about AWS, independent of any specific technical role.
Good to Know
Personal Prerequisites:
- BMW Level “Cloud Beginner”.
- XLAB - BMW Cloud Basic 1 (ITEM_36015) (currently not available) or BMW Cloud Basic 1 Flashcard.
- XLAB – BMW Cloud Basic 2 AWS (ITEM_37008) (currently not available).
Technical Prerequisites:
- Being able to read and understand source code.
- First experiences with AWS including a basic understanding of AWS Services (ECS, IAM, RDS, Networking).
- Helpful: AWS Cloud Practitioner.

- This training is available in German and English. Please check the language stated in the course details before enrolling!
