Objectives

The participant:

• Knows how to get started with the Standard Cloud Platform (SCP) for AWS.
• Is familiar with the SCP key concepts and the structure of an SCP project.
• Knows which preconditions must be met for using the SCP.
• Can create an application step-by-step in an already available SCP project.
• Administers permissions for the application and switches to their own application’s IaC repository in ATC GitHub.
• Configures and parametrizes the infrastructure, including the container runtime, storage, and DB.
• Verifies the infrastructure before building and deploying a container.

• How to order (an) SCP application(s) and SCP environments in an existing SCP Project.
• How to prepare and set up the infrastructure (administer permissions, configure, provide, and verify infrastructure).
• How to deploy a container.
• How to monitor application(s).
• Where to find support for a project.

• Partner, who operate such systems.

Good to know

• Obligatory: Knowledge Level 2: Cloud Potential (ITEM_37009), which includes XLAB BMW Cloud Basic 1 and 2 AWS.
• Obligatory: Web based Training Standard Cloud Platform (SCP).
• Recommended: XLAB – BMW Infrastructure as CODE (ITEM_59036) or alternatively be able to write and modify Source Code.
• Prior knowledge is checked on the participant's own responsibility.
