Objectives
The participant:
- Is sensitized to vehicle safety and knows how to distinguish the different domains within vehicle safety from the FuSi.
- Gets an overview of the safety-related development at BMW.
- Understands the common concepts of functional safety (GUR, safety concept, verification and validation, safety argument/proof of safety) and knows how to use them.
Content
- Overview Functional Safety and ISO 26262.
- Demarcation to Gesi and Security.
- Safety culture at BMW (organizational structures / aspects of product liability / supporting processes).
- Safety management in the project (roles and responsibilities / cooperation with suppliers and process partners / proof of safety, assessment and approval).
- Safety proof at BMW - (documents, evidence, reports).
- Hazard analysis and risk assessment (GUR) and safety objectives.
- Safety requirements and security concepts (system architecture, functional security concept / technical security concept system/component / safety integrity, security analysis / verification and validation).
- Overview hardware development / software development.
Target Group
- E/E function developers.
- All partners who works with E/E function developers, architects, function managers, functional safety officers, “FUSIANer at BMW”, SGI, FGI, test engineers, module managers, SE/BE team leader.

Recommendation:
- Induction checklist of the department has been fully processed. At least 3 months of cooperation in the department.
